Inimestes, kes on seda näinud, tekitab see igatahes väga erinevaid emotsioone, mõned ülipositiivselt ( isegi pimedalt positiivsed), teised kahtlevad ja lõhestunud.
People who have seen it have formed very different emotions, some blindly positive, some optimistic, some devided and doubtful.

Ma arvan, et ma lõpuks suudan sõnastada ka selle, mis kogu asja juures kõige vildakam tundub.
I think I have managed to put my finger on what seems a bit "off" to me in it.
See et Tim teeb muusikali on üsna loogiline, sest noo "Charlies..." kui "Laibast pruudis" oli palju laule. Küllap ta sinna suunas rihtis....
The fact Tim is doing a musical is logical, since Charlie and Corpse Bride both had way more songs than usual, and obviously he was sort of heading in the musical direction.
On lihtsalt kuidagi võõras ja imelik, et ta teeb filmi kellegi teise muusikalist. Ootuspärasem oleks olnud originaalmuusikal koos Danny Elfmaniga. Aga ehk LIIGA ootuspärane.
But I would have expected him to make a completely original musical with Danny and stuff.
but maybe that would have been too predictable.
Sellepärast on too film treileri põhjal natuke veider - ma tahaks loota, et see kõik ei piira Timi isikupära ja "böörtonlikkust".
anyway, thats what is making the film seem weird to me and I can just hope it is burtonesque enough to match Tims world....
Mis puutub laulmisse, siis esimene kuulamine pani mind lausa õhku ahmima. Väga teatraalne, lausa vaimustav! Ma kujutan isegi ette ett JD võibolla suudaks seda teha otse laval. Kui ta oleks võimeline kogu teksti pähe õppima muidugi.
at the singing I actually went "HHHhhhHHHhhh" breathing like I am overheated...it really does excite me. very....theatrical-sounding. like, I could even imagine JD doing that on stage, if he was able to memorize his lines....

The biggest argument right now is if Jack Sparrow voice is kicking in. "You, Sir!"
Mul on teooria, et see on lihtsalt häälekooli tulemus. Vanasti, 90ndate alguses oli JD hääl tema enda oma, ta mängis ainult tooni, tugevuse ja pausidega. Mida aeg edasi, seda enam on igal karakteril oma, paikatimmitud ja läbimõeldud hääl. Eriti hästi tuleb see välja hüüatustest - varem karjus ta nagu teismeline, terve kopsuga, sõnadest ei saanudki aru, karakterit selles polnud, see oli lihtsalt müra. Aga Jack ja Sweeney, nemad on igal ajahetkel selles hääles olemas, olgu sosinas või karjumises. I have a theory it is the result of voice training and just years of developing. At the old days, JD used much his own natural voice, playing with tones, intensity and pauses. Time goes by, and we hear more and more well refined, distinctive voice "packages" for his characters, where the character shows in every aspect of the voice. Like shouting - young JD would shout like a teenager, more air in it than sound, no character showing, words didnt matter. But Jack and Sweeney, there he is IN CHARACTER every second. Maybe that is why those voices seem similar at first hearing - he has just learned to use his voice better.
Sacha Baron Choen on ka selles filmis. Täielik ampelmann! Kuna ma ei tea näidendist midagi, siis ei oska ma arvata keda ta kujutab, aga riides on küll nagu dändikeigar või tsirkusedirektor.
I cant find a word for Cohen. How is "ampelmann" for english, hmmm...I do not know the play too well, so I cannot imagine who he plays, but he looks like a circus director or a dandy.
Kirkavärvilised kaadrid meenutasid mulle algul mänguasjapoe aknaid või puhastusvahendi reklaame, või siis lasteraamatu illustratsioone. Pärastpoole tekkis seos tugevalt meigitud näoga, millelt grimmi küünega maha kratsides paljastub hoopis koledam ja räsitum ilme. Või selliste seinamaalidega, mis on tehtud lubjatud seinale kusagil agulis, autoremonditöökoja taga. Ka selliste maalingute all on sootuks koledam pind. Seega mitte mõeldes Timi nägemust Sweeney maailmas, vaid pigem mingit kolmandat dimensiooni, hingeseisundit.
those bright colored shots remind me of toy shop windows or something..... commercials, maybe? the bright unrealistic world of commercials. or childrens books illustrations, 7 months to 3 y.
what I just thought about the colorful shots, especially the one with Helena in close-up, and that seaside thing, is like it is heavy make up on an ugly face. if I would reach out and scratch it with my nail.....I would see the underneath. Or mural paintings on plaster base in some ghetto, which also have an uglier surface underneath. Not meaning Tims execution of sweeneys dark and gloomy world, that I love, but it s more like the third dimension, a state of mind or spirit, that is underneath those bright colors.
Mida see film võiks saavutada? Tim on öelnud, et ta tahab anda Johnnyle uue signatuurtegelase, nagu Edward oli, nagu Jack, aga midagi, mis varjutaks selle "kapten Jacki" maania. Ükskord ta juba tegi Johnnyle restardi, nüüd teeb uuesti.
Tim saved Johnny once, and now he pulled him ashore from going adrift with the Sparrow-frenzy and getting stuck with one image. He kind of pushed the "Refresh" button now, I think.
Ma väga loodan et see film jõuab meie kinno samal ajal, kui Norrasse - 25. jaanuaril. Jaa jaa! Minu sünnipäeval, just! Praegu aga ei ole mingit kuupäeva kirjas ega ka seda, kas ta üldse Eestisse jõuab.
I sincerely hope this film reaches us at the same time it goes on screens in Norway - on 25th of january 2008! Yes, exactly - my birthday!!!!! Rigth now the date is not set, or whether it is coming here at all.
